San Francisco Zine Fest 2011... Met quite a few nice folks, stumbled upon some kindred ideas, discovered new ideas to borrow for future projects, put a couple bucks back in the "budget", and had a few laughs.
A few of my favorite things from the weekend:
Mission Mini Comix - "Lucked" into sharing a table with these guys. Super-prolific and talented comics hustlers. Good peoples, great art, doing it for all the right reasons. Looking forward to their future work.
Art For A Democratic Society - I get it, you get it, we get it. So many great ideas I would have thought of... if only I had. I wish I'd made contact earlier in the weekend. Let's be BFFs k?
Gas Macaroni - Garbage MS Paint comics. For the sake of pixels.
There were a lot more really great projects at the San Francisco Zine Fest, but these few in particular touched me how I need to be touched in all the right places.
